Real weight loss is Fat, not mass

Another 10 Day Food Challenge is coming to an end, and we will be measuring out to track progress.  I didn’t make the challenge up to be about losing weight, I made it to help people be more accountable & thoughtful about how they are eating to nourish thier body, as a result you WILL lose weight and inches compared to what you were doing before & it works!!

Average person will drop 3lbs.-5lbs. of mass in 10 days and lose 2″-4″ in the Abs & hips – that’s a significant difference for any body

Weight loss can be defined as MASS – mass can be divided up into water, fat, muscle, skin, hair, clothes, shoes, pants, so on and so on.   Losing the weight is easy if yo take off shoes, or starve yourself for a week, but losing FAT weight takes a little more effort

A 10 Day Food Challenge isn’t a cure all and the answer to all the weight problems but a way to get you focused and doing the little things that add up to real fat loss

Glute, thigh & Ab specific challenge starting in June

In June we will begin a new challenge – we are using lunges and oblique crunches 2 days a week to target the strength and endurance of our hips, glutes,thighs & stomach area – guidelines will be up on Facebook and I will post the link when it starts

You will be able to participate by doing the reps and posting your number on the page to be official, we will also have a board up at the studio

Yes you can eat pizza too!!

we decided today we are kicking off August’s 10 day food challenge with lunch at Mellow Mushroom!!

for everybody who has been on a diet before have you ever started it off with pizza?

I love pizza and can argue my point at how wholesome, fresh and nourishing it is for you any time you please

If your “diet” says NO pizza then I’m telling you that you need a new approach to eating lunch

If you’re not busy next Wed please join us for a bite to eat – we always eat good!!

On a personal note

today I want to post and say something a little more personal. I usually post “business” stuff or things related to health & fitness on my blog & Facebook to motivate & teach the folks at the studio

My posts aren’t for everyone and I know that, plus there is ample room for improvement which makes me very happy as well

I have met so many different people doing personal training in Bowling Green (the mom, dad, wife, kids, girlfriend, grandma-pa, the alone ones, the depressed & happy ones, also the sick, weak, mentally, socially and physically challenged ones too. Don’t forget the lairs, cheaters, rich, poor, religious & atheist to name a few) I am so amazed and blessed to meet you

Most important though and the one I appreciate most about my work dealing with everyday people, and that’s the excuses. I heard them all especially when it comes to this 10 day food challenge

You wouldn’t believe the excuses people give to me why they can’t eat better quality foods!!

It actually infuriates me, what earthly human being would not benefit from healthy daily nourishment to their body and why?

If you have an answer or comment please share – I can list some excuses for you to so maybe you can have a better one next time – Haha jk!!

GT 10day Food Challenge (First 7 days)

our GT 10day Food Challenge is working out well, through 7days and the holiday weekend I have dropped -4lbs and 2% Fat

(no diet, no pills, no powders, no gimmicks)

– giving out the few guidelines this week and schedule measuring to get everybody’s body fat, waist and hip measurements

– we have about 30 people ready for the challenge and I’m most excited to see our total loss in fat pounds and body fat percentage
