GT Fitness – This is what we do
I’ve always struggled with weight throughout my life. I found comfort in food and never found the motivation to workout. I had been on a constant diet since my freshman year of high school; my weight would go up and down and up again. After getting, and staying in a bad relationship, as well as being in the “real world” for a while I just gave up. Within two years of graduating high school, I had gained 70 pounds. At 5’9 and 20 years old I was nearly 300 pounds. I had high blood pressure among other health problems. At the end of 2011 I ended that relationship. I realized I was depressed and obese, with no self-esteem. I decided to stop making excuses, I needed to work on myself mentally as well as physically, and improve my overall health. I began making small changes in what I ate. I decided I was not going to “diet” I was going to watch my calorie intake along with my micronutrients, and eat healthy, which meant no processed foods. When I started my exercise regime I could barely walk half a mile but I pushed myself. I also did hot yoga, and then I downloaded a running program and began to slowly train myself to run. I lost 100 pounds. That was great but I didn’t feel good about myself. I was losing my shape and curves. I decided to try Get Toned since my good friend had been going. Since starting I am very pleased with my results, I only wish I had started going sooner! I’m still working towards my goal of losing 15-20 more pounds. I’m losing more body fat as opposed to weight, however I am getting more compliments from people about my definition and shape, and the fact that it “looks” as though I’m losing weight. I also found working out is my stress relief and my new go-to instead of food. I not only feel better mentally, but I have no high blood pressure or any other health issues. I feel better and stronger with an increased self-esteem. Making this fitness and nutrition commitment has changed my life completely, its given me a new mentality that if I could push myself to lose that much weight I can push myself to do anything.
Throughout my life, I have been on the rollercoaster of weight loss. I have always been one to enjoy exercising, but my weight did not always reflect that. Before Get Toned, I was going to a small local gym for several years, but it closed unexpectedly. Having worked at the hospital with David, I knew he was very capable of helping me get the results I wanted when it came to fitness. I started training at GT Fitness in July 2010, and I have lost nearly 50 pounds. I feel more toned now in my forties than I have ever felt. Going to the studio has become a daily routine for me, but the best part is that the workouts are not routine. Every day we focus on different areas of the body, and the trainers are always challenging us with new workouts. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________
I have been coming to GT for about a year and 1/2 now and i love it! I do not see myself every stopping ! I came because I had no endurance and I feel so much better. Turning 51 this year and feel like i live life so much better now. It keeps your blood flowing and gives you a sense of ability ! It is worth every penny! lost about 25 lbs and several sizes down!

After years of struggling with weight issues that were beginning to have ill effects on our health, we made a commitment on May 11, 2010 that would change our lives. As a team we walked in the door of Get Toned Fitness. In just one year, being true to our commitment, we have lost 157 pounds, 73 inches, and 16.5% body fat.
We could not have accomplished this without each other or without the dedication of David and Jessie at Get Toned Fitness. They believed in us and have been by our sides every step of the way. We have not yet achieved our goals that we have set for ourselves but have no doubt that with the help and guidance of Get Toned Fitness we will accomplish what we have set out to do.
